The Forres Class

Main Class for dancers with experience 8pm

 

Dancing on the well sprung floor of the Lesser Town Hall, the Forres class enjoys a varied selection of dances. The class teachers have many years of experience and have devised dances accepted by the RSCDS. The class welcomes experienced adult dancers.

New dancers may join the Main Class at 8pm once they know the basic formations and can join successfully join a Set.

 

Beginners’ Course starts 12 September 2022

Members of the Class will be taught all the basic steps and formations by a qualified RSCDS teacher. It is important to join at the beginning of the Course so that dancers can progress to the level expected in the Main Class.

No new dancers can join this Class after the second week in October.

Depending on interest a new course may start again in January 2023.

 

Where Do We Meet?

The class meets in the Lesser Town Hall, High Street, Forres, IV36 1PB

 

When?

The Beginners’ Class meets at 7.00pm for 50 minutes and the Main Class at 8.00pm for two hours.

The term starts on 12 September 2022.

 

How Much?

The weekly class fee is £5.00 per dancer.

Returning adult Members join the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society and the Forres Branch.

New dancers are required to join the Branch. They have to join RSCDS from January 2023 and take up the six month Membership of the Society available to dancers who have not previously been Members of the Society.

The single adult annual fees are £25.00 to RSCDS and £6.00 for Branch Membership.
Joint Membership for adults living at the same address is £40.00 and £11.00.

Single dancers aged 18-24 pay £20.00 and £6.00.
Six month adult Membership of RSCDS is £12.50.
Six month adult Membership of RSCDS for two adults living at the same address is £20.00.
